How to start

1. Run the command in your terminal, in the project where you want it.
2. Sign in if asked the first time Claude connects.
3. Check it: run /mcp in Claude Code and look for it in the list.

What it needs

• SEARXNG_URLOptional. URL of your SearXNG instance with JSON output enabled; enables SearXNG search (no default)
• SEARXNG_USERNAMEOptional. Optional basic auth user for SearXNG (set both or neither)
• SEARXNG_PASSWORDOptional. Secret: keep it out of your repo. Optional basic auth password for SearXNG (set both or neither)
• YDC_API_KEYOptional. Secret: keep it out of your repo. You.com API key; enables You.com search (queries go to You.com, US)
• SEARCH_RESULT_FIELDSOptional. Comma-separated result fields: title,url,content,publishedDate,providers (unset = all)
