How to start

  1. Run the command in your terminal, in the project where you want it.
  2. Sign in if asked the first time Claude connects.
  3. Check it: run /mcp in Claude Code and look for it in the list.

What it needs

  • OPENAI_API_KEYOptional. Secret: keep it out of your repo. OpenAI API key for embedding generation (optional — use GENESYS_EMBEDDER=local for no API key)
  • ANTHROPIC_API_KEYOptional. Secret: keep it out of your repo. Anthropic API key for LLM-based memory processing (optional)
  • GENESYS_EMBEDDEROptional. Embedding provider: 'openai' or 'local' (default: openai)
